SPECIAL UPDATE: July 15, 2004
THE INTERVENTIONISTS: ART IN THE
SOCIAL SPHERE.
THAT WORD WHICH MEANS SMUGGLING ACROSS BORDERS,
INCORPORATED would like to announce the successful completion of the
29+ pattern pieces which become the first prototype of THE MULTIPLED
SUIT.
We cordially invite you to become involved with experimentation
in reinventing 29+ pattern pieces of this suit into your complete FALL 2004
wardrobe. These beautifully stitched pattern pieces based on the architectural
footprints of the Mass MoCA site are individually constructed from the tailoring
language of the 19th and 20th century grey wool suit, only now to infinitely
come together into this experiential 21st century model. Each piece contains
a multiplicity of fabric and stitching constructions revealing transformations
into the future of sartorial decorum.
J. MORGAN PUETT, IAIN KERR, and JAMIE L. GRACE will
assist as you interact with potentialities and slippages of your new attire
by arranging one or several pieces of the MULTIPLED SUIT.
There will be several scheduled appointments during
July and August in the small squatter's shack in the rubble
of the third floor galleries of Mass MoCA, North Adams, Mass. We welcome you
to contact us regarding these touchings and fittings.
Please accept this invitation to further witness the
evolution of this investigation into the future of the SUIT by making an appointment
at this time. Orders are being taken now for early fall delivery!
Kindly contact us by phone (the tailor's cell: 276-614-0035 ) OR through our new E-mail address.
We appreciate your continuing interest in this project
which will be operating at this location though March 2005. Kindly check into
the web-site from time to time and follow the Multipled Suit's construction
development into the cutting edge of fiber technologies.
Warmest regards,
J. MORGAN PUETT—IAIN KERR
